How to choose

Begin with the workpiece and cycle, then verify performance, interfaces, environment, and maintenance needs against the family data.

Map part coverage

Compare the active gripping area with the smallest and largest product format expected on the line.

Account for leakage

Open cells, porous board, textiles, and incomplete coverage favor high-flow or matrix gripster designs.

Control tool mass

Include the gripster, valves, fittings, frame, and payload in robot wrist and acceleration calculations.

Design the interface

Confirm mounting pattern, vacuum source, zones, sensing, compliance, and cable or hose routing before release.

Vacuum Area Gripsters

A sealed foam or lip face over a plenum. Anything covering the face is held, so mixed formats need no changeover and no teaching.

Flow & Matrix Gripsters

High-flow designs that tolerate open cells and leakage: porous board, textile, perforated sheet and wafer.

Special Gripsters

Non-vacuum principles for loads a cup cannot seal against: magnetic for ferrous parts, needle for textile and fibre.
